One of my favourite places in Kent. SO much to do and see. A truly fascinating history and very interactive. Excellent for all ages. Must must visit! A tad pricey so spend the WHOLE DAY here!

Takes at least 4 hours to see everything. The tours about WW2 events in the tunnels are amazing.

Built to defend the shortest crossing to the continent. Impressive castle with interesting contents. Worth the entrance fee.

This place is huge! Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to see everything. There is a broad range of history to see here from Roman times to WW2

A lovely castle with medieval and WWII exhibits. Can get super super busy on event days so be prepared for organised chaos.

Great place to spend a day. Stunning views. Nice little cafe at the castle. Nice green space to get done sunshine while kids play on the green slopes

Bring lunch for a midday picnic. Go early to avoid queueing, esp for the 2 wartime guided tours. It deserves a whole day. Wear sensible shoes.
