Maps of Bristol show how the incredible city has changed over the centuries. They're arranged in chronological order around the atrium's perimeter. They're definitely worth checking out.

It's free, lots to see including a fantastic art collection. But be warned the cafe is a bit expensive.

Some fantastic early renaissance paintings and also a strong 19thC British collection. Was impressed with how well looked after it looked. Free admission...you have no excuse not to visit.

One of the few museums to have been awarded designated status by the government - the mark of an outstanding museum!

Free to enter and containing hundreds of exhibits, Bristol Museum is well worth a visit. The Banksy exhibition here in 2009 was developed in secrecy and with no PR, but gained worldwide notoriety.
