Historical university dedicated to Conficius & his students and wise persons. Names of all graduated students written on the turtle statues (UNESCO World Heritage) standing on the edges of the garden.

Worth the couple bucks for the audio tour to learn about all the symbolism in the architecture and the history of the temple/university

Beautifully manicured gardens enclosed in this temple of literature, considered the first university in Hanoi. Historic and plenty of information to read, mainly reconstructed but still authentic

The wall around this area extends for a full block and includes ancient buildings and temples, along with various water features. It takes one back in time and is worthwhile outing.

Ein wunderbarer Ort im Zentrum von Ha Noi. Wenn Schulklassen da sind, ist man als großer, breiter, blonder Europäer mit blauen Augen Rockstar und wird viel um Fotos gebeten.

Spacious park with a well-manicured lawn. The huge temple is at the far end. There are several souvenir stores around the temple.Buy a postcard and a stamp, drop in the mailbox and send it to yourself.

The temple was first constructed in 1070 and in English, it means the Temple of Literature which is one of the famous places in Hanoi and considered by many Vietnamese as the first university.
