They're doing some renovation work. Hopefully this will speed things up and ensure you don't have to book at least a fortnight in advance for a routine check-up.

After u pass the airport go straight, ull see a traffic light - go straight, then take ras al khor hatta exit and take the service lane. Will see it on the right side in approox 600 m
