Delhi is a city of contrasts
The geographical capital of India is the city of Delhi, which is located on the banks of the Yamuna river.
Its map is divided into 9 districts and 27 regions. The capital is densely populated, the total number of residents exceeds 15 million and is growing steadily as a result of natural population growth and arriving migrants.There are many architectural, cultural and religious monuments in Delhi. The city's places of interest include, the Presidential Palace, the largest Hindu temple complex Akshardham and the mausoleum of Humayun. Popular places among tourists are the Gateway of India and the Red Fort.One of the many reasons to visit the capital of India is bright and colourful festivals that are regularly held here. An unforgettable event is the festival of lights, or Diwali.The most common and sought-after transport in Delhi is buses, which provide more than half of all passenger traffic. An metro also operates, which consists of 6 lines, so it is better to use the city guide. To travel around the city you can order a taxi, but it is worth remembering that due to overcrowding and a high standard of living in Delhi, highways are very busy. Traffic jams really are a huge problem here.
