Check the weather before skipping the faster less scenic tunnel, as the fog can obscure views.

Strategic lookout point during the Vietnam (American) war - a military zone.When the US army held this area, no one could pass - instead The Vietnamese used the Ho Chi Minh trial, tunnels and boats.

Take a motorbike and enjoy the scenery. Go to Lang Co which about another 8 miles and check out the view

Beautiful views and lovely winding road (with some crazy drivers). Some French and American war remnants at top of pass. As always you will get hassled by somebody trying to sell you something!
