The place is small and not very organized. But there are lots of beautiful pictures and paintings and talking to Mr. Lewis, the curator, is a delight.

Ronald Lewis is a treasure-trove of NOLA history, esp. about the Lower 9th & Mardi Gras traditions. You NEED to visit if you want to meet a real NOLA gem! He tells his life story in the book "9 Lives"
