Bring a water bottle, even in the winter! It's a hike but well worth it! Also, look closely at the boulders. You'll see ancient fossilized sealife.

Island Trail is tough but offers a chance to crawl through ancient dwellings. See them from afar on easier Rim Trail. – Green Guide Editor
