Food and drink is expensive, bring own as the staff are fine with it. But when it's warm have an AMT milkshake as they're delicious!

Sometimes they have free books. One which i managed to get was an essential for my dissertation!

the library gets really busy around lunchtime so go in the mornings or evenings to have a quieter time

If you're going to book a group room, do it more than a week in advance as they are extremely popular. Also be aware some don't have computers.

All the furniture on the ground floor can be moved around to suit what you're doing, so if you want to rearrange the tables go for it!

If you're in a hurry to check books in or out then you can use the self-service machines on the ground and second floors.
