The beer is pleasant but not great. Try the best bitter. I had the sandwich lunch special-- chicken with gouda, cucumbers etc. It was excellent. Service was a bit slow for the mid-afternoon.

Terrible service. Food not that great. Management took a meal off the check to make up for long wait to deliver food. Lunch took 2.5 hours. Totally inexcusable.

Winter '14. Some issues in the brewery. Beer definitely not usual standard. Food too. Seems like responsible sourcing more important than cooking it correctly. Hope they get it fixed. Love this joint

French fries are fantastic. Good traditional pub food and it's nice that they serve beer in 10oz glasses in addition to a standard pint.

best fish & chips this side of the Atlantic. also the Shepard's pie is pretty damn tasty.
