Fantastic staff in a tired hotel. Doesn't need a remodel, but decor, lighting, and hallways aren't what I expect from a property this expensive.

The Category 9 of this particular Marriott property is all about its superb location right next to the Santa Monica beach. The rest of it, unfortunately, doesn't really live up to the expectations.

I was there for the SEJSummit. The conference space was cozy and the staff very attentive and courteous.

All hotels in this area are very pricey, but that's what happens when you stay on the beach, the view was beautiful, the room was meh.

Decent stay, great local, staff super friendly. Beware rooms 512 and 514. Loud w elevator and staff room. Strange banging during the night.
