Make sure you have a GA fishing license if you plan on fishing. The park rangers will enforce this law, even 40 mins before closing. There are no signs stating you need a license for my out of towners

The campground bathhouse showers are superb compared to those at most state parks in the Southeast.

Great hike! Secure your food, or you may not have any to come back to. Theres a real life Yogi and Boo–Boo here.

This is a beautiful park. Well mantainas well. Plenty to do and see.

Great shady are for summer heat! Trails to tower are easy to navigate with young kids. They love it here and so do I!

Wi-fi is spotty unless you park outside the park rangers office.

The beach is great for kids! The trails are a perennial favorite. If possible, book a few nights at the cabins - the beds are SOOO comfy!
