Instead of alighting here for Taroko, I think Xin Cheng is a better choice. One stop before this station. We stay at one station after this - Ji An and the price becomes so much cheaper.

Cost for taxi to taroko (with driver) around 2000 NTS. Just stand in front of station. Another option to taroko rent a motorcycle cost around 300-400 NTS. Information center is on right hand side

If your train ride overlaps with lunch hour, buy the lunch set on the train. Good standard!

The mail box is at the front gate. But the 7-11 doesn't sell stamps. Go outside the station, walk straight passing the tourist center. Turn right at the second cross you will find another 7-11.

If you want a snack, buy it at the 7-11 before you enter the gate!
